Through our collaboration with the digital training platform Zwift, you can now train together with thousands of cyclists from around the world during the winter. E-cycling is a smart (and fun) way to prepare for Vätternrundan’s events – and with Wahoo, it’s easy to get started.
Winter is the perfect time for everyone, regardless of level, to carry out efficient and high-quality indoor training. Below, we’ve listed the equipment you need to get started with e-cycling.

You also need a digital device with a screen – a phone, tablet, computer, or TV – where you can download the Zwift app.

It’s also a good idea to invest in a trainer mat and a proper fan.

During the winter months from January to March, Swedish Zwift Riders (SZR) lead Vätternrundan’s popular group training sessions on Zwift. The sessions gradually increase in length throughout the training series, with the goal of preparing you to spend many hours on the bike when race day arrives in June. New for this year is category D and two final races in March and April, giving both beginners and more experienced cyclists even better opportunities to join and find the right level in Vätternrundan’s indoor season.
The Vätternrundan Group Ride Series is part of Vätternrundan’s official training program, specifically designed for the event. It’s the perfect preparation for the summer – or simply an easy and motivating way to train together during the winter.
