Here you’ll find practical information about registration – from terms and conditions to how to transfer your entry to someone else.

Terms and conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to your registration for Vätternrundan’s events:

  • Your registration is binding. The right to withdraw does not apply when purchasing sporting events. Registration fee is not refundable.
  • It is not permissible to move your registration to another year’s event.
  • It is prohibited to take part in any one of our events in someone else’s name.
  • Participation in all our events is done so at your own risk.
  • We do not compensate for loss or damage to property.
  • It is possible to sell your start. Read more in the section “Entry Transfer”.
  • If extraordinary circumstances (force majeure) prevent an event from taking place, the organiser reserves the right to retain half of the entry fee.
  • We reserve the right to make adjustments to the content and design of the event and the surrounding activities.

Cancellations

Once your registration is paid and confirmed, it is legally binding. You are not entitled to any refund from Vätternrundan. All participants are advised to take out the Folksam Motionsloppsförsäkring Bas or Folksam Motionsloppsförsäkring Stor cancellation insurance, provided by leading Swedish insurer Folksam, in case injury or illness prevents participation. Read more in the Insurance section.

Change of start time

Individual changes to a start time can be made via My pages between December 3 and June 4, 2026 at 9:00 am for all of our shorter races except MTB-Vättern. The payment of SEK 300 is made directly on My pages. For Vätternrundan 315 km the final day for start time change is June 10, 2026 at 9:00 am.

How to change start time via My Pages – step by step

  1. Log in to My pages.
  2. Select the actual event for the start time change.
  3. Click Change start time.
  4. First select a start time interval and then a start time in the scroll. Note that start times in an interval may run out during this procedure.
  5. Click Confirm and proceed to payment. Please note that once you confirm the change of start time, it is binding and incurs a fee of 300 SEK . Your new start time will only be approved once we have received your payment, which must be done within 24 hours. In case of non-payment you will be moved to a randomly selected start time.

Change of start time on site

Change of start time can also be made at ”Ändringar” within the event area, subject to availability and for a fee of 300 SEK/person. Payment is made by bank card or Swish.

Transfer of entry

We allow the transfer of an entry to another person from May 27 at 09:00 until June 4 at 09:00 (June 10 for Vätternrundan 315 km). Please note that name changes can only be completed during the transfer period, so you should wait until then before purchasing an entry. Transfers are also available for MTB-Vättern 25 km/50 km, Tjejvättern 100 km, Vätternrundan 100 km, and Halvvättern 150 km.

We advise caution when purchasing entries. Online transactions always involve some risk, regardless of the platform used.

The seller completes the name change via My pages

The name change must be completed by the seller during the transfer period via My pages with direct payment of an administrative fee of SEK 300.

Log in to My pages and select the event to be transferred. Click “Entry Transfer.” Enter the buyer’s customer number and date of birth (YYYY-MM-DD), then click “validate transfer.” Verify that the correct person is selected and click “Confirm and add to cart.” Choose a payment method and complete the transfer.

Important for MTB-Vättern, Tjejvättern, and Vätternrundan 100 km

If you were born before 2012, you cannot purchase an entry intended for participants born between 2012–2018.

Questions and answers – Buyer

Is a name change required for a transfer to be valid?
Yes.

As a buyer, do I send my personal details to the seller, who completes the name change?
Yes. You provide your customer number and date of birth (YYYY-MM-DD). The seller will then access the remaining details.

What price applies when buying an entry?
The price is agreed between the buyer and seller. As guidance, the entry fee at registration opening was SEK 1,950 for individual entries and SEK 2,200 for pre-booked groups.
An additional administrative fee of SEK 300 applies, paid by the seller.

How do I know the entry is valid?
Once the name change is completed, both the buyer and seller receive a confirmation email. You can also check the Results section on the website.

How do I know the seller is legitimate?
As with any private or online transaction, caution is advised. Both parties receive confirmation during the transfer period. Purchases outside this period are not recommended. You can verify that the seller has an entry by searching their name under Results, or contact the office at info@vatternrundan.se.

Do I get access to My pages?
Yes, you must create an account to receive your customer number.

Do I take over the seller’s insurance?
No. Folksam’s event insurance is personal. You may purchase your own policy.

Will I receive a receipt for wellness reimbursement?
No, as this is a second-hand purchase, no receipt is issued by Vätternrundan.

Can I change start time to match a friend?
Yes, subject to availability, via My pages or on-site in Motala for SEK 300.

Can I switch from a regular group to a SUB group?
No. Contact info@vatternrundan.se.

Can I switch from a SUB group to a regular group?
Yes, subject to availability, on-site in Motala for SEK 300.

Can I switch between SUB groups?
No. Contact info@vatternrundan.se.

What happens if I buy before the transfer period?
You must ensure the seller completes the name change during the transfer period. Otherwise, the entry remains in the seller’s name and is invalid for you. Beware of fraud.

What happens if I buy after the transfer period?
See above – the transfer will not be valid.

What if I ride using someone else’s entry without a name change?
This is not allowed. ID checks may occur at bib collection.

Consequences include:

  • Disqualification
  • Your time will not be registered in your name
  • No diploma in your name
  • The event cannot count toward En Svensk Klassiker
  • No receipt or insurance coverage

Am I responsible for completing the name change?
Yes and no. The buyer must first register to obtain a customer number. You then complete the transfer via My pages and pay the SEK 300 fee. Both parties receive confirmation.

What is direct payment?
Online payment via Swish, Trustly, online banking, or Visa/Mastercard.

I don’t have login details for My pages?
If your email is registered, you can request new login details via the login page.

What price applies when selling?
The price is agreed between buyer and seller. As guidance, the original entry fee was SEK 1,950 (individual) or SEK 2,200 (group), plus a SEK 300 administrative fee paid by the seller.

Can I include my insurance in the sale?
No. Folksam insurance is personal.

Can I sell before or after the transfer period?
We strongly advise against it. If you do, you must still complete the name change during the transfer period.

What happens if I sell after the transfer period?
The name change cannot be completed, making the transfer invalid.

Insurance

Protect yourself against a missed start

Not being able to start the event in June due to injury or illness is probably not something you want to think about right now. But if it does happen, you can still get your entry fee refunded if you have an event insurance policy. You’ll also be covered for accidents with Folksam’s event insurance (Motionsloppsförsäkring).

  • Valid for an unlimited number of events during one year
  • Includes accident coverage
  • Costs only SEK 155

  • Refund of the entry fee in case of injury or illness for an unlimited number of events during one year
  • Includes accident coverage

Collective insurance
All participation is at your own risk, but a collective accident and liability insurance is arranged by Vätternrundan through the Swedish Cycling Federation and Gjensidige, covering all registered participants.
