Vätternrundan simplifies the entry into cycling – partners with Quad Lock

Vätternrundan’s initiative to strengthen attitudes toward recreational cycling and the opportunities that cycling “unlocks” continues. The efforts range from creating meeting spaces for beginners to developing partnerships that can lower barriers to entry. Now, a collaboration with Quad Lock—leaders in, among other things, mobile mounts for bikes—is being announced.
“Many cyclists carry their phones with them, and beginners are not always ready to invest in a dedicated bike computer. With a Quad Lock case, cyclists can mount their phone securely, track their rides using any app, and stay connected,” says Dom Storey, Global Head of Sports Marketing at Quad Lock.
Quad Lock’s mounting system is used by cyclists around the world. Its unique dual-stage locking mechanism makes it possible to attach a phone quickly and securely—whether riding on the road, off-road, or using a bike for everyday transport.
Like Vätternrundan, Quad Lock places great importance on the cycling community—as well as the benefits of an active lifestyle and the opportunity for exciting adventures.
“Our users range from everyday cyclists and committed recreational riders to elite athletes. What they all share is a passion for improving, riding smarter, and getting more out of every kilometer. Whether training for a major event, commuting to work, or heading out for a long weekend ride, safety, simplicity, and gear that truly works are highly valued,” says Dom Storey of Quad Lock.
Over the past two years, Vätternrundan has seen clear growth, particularly among beginners and younger participants aged 18–35—aligned with the global cycling trend. At the same time, there is a wide spectrum, from recreational riders to more experienced cyclists.
“Quad Lock’s system is a smart accessory for those starting out with cycling for fitness. It also offers flexibility in an active everyday life, as you can mount your phone on everything from your bike to your car. We want to continue being a driving force in creating better conditions for more people to choose cycling more often. That’s why we’re especially pleased about our shared commitment with Quad Lock,” says Jessica Nilsson, Sponsorship Manager at Vätternrundan.
“Quad Lock is very excited to partner with the world’s largest recreational cycling event, with a strong presence in Europe. We are confident that our products will support participants throughout their training journey, as well as to and from Motala,” says Dom Storey of Quad Lock.
Thanks to compatibility between mounts and accessories, users can easily move their phone between setups—for seamless mounting on different bikes, in the car, or during other everyday activities.
Ahead of this year’s Cycling Week, Quad Lock plans to offer registered participants an exclusive deal, which can be accessed via Quad Lock’s website or on-site in Motala during the Nordic Bike Expo.
“Many people discover Quad Lock products digitally, but to truly understand the benefits of our system, you need to experience it in real life. That’s why it’s important for us to meet users both digitally and physically,” says Dom Storey of Quad Lock.
