Vätternrundan and Wahoo deepen their collaboration ahead of 2026
Vätternrundan and Wahoo are deepening their partnership ahead of 2026 through new initiatives that enhance visibility, engagement, and value for both beginner and experienced cyclists.

Vätternrundan and Wahoo are deepening their partnership ahead of 2026 through new initiatives that enhance visibility, engagement, and value for both beginner and experienced cyclists. The effort is carried out together with RLVNT Distribution AB, Wahoo’s distributor in the Nordics, and is based on a shared ambition to inspire more people to discover cycling – on their own terms.
Wahoo becomes official partner of Beginner’s Ride Club
Wahoo will be one of three official partners of Vätternrundan’s beginner concept, Beginner’s Ride Club. The partnership gives Wahoo the opportunity to engage with new cyclists early in their cycling journey, provide knowledge and products that make it easier to get started, and appear in Vätternrundan’s digital channels, newsletters, and community. For Wahoo, the collaboration brings clear business value by:
- Engaging beginners at a stage where guidance is crucial
- Strengthening the brand in Sweden’s largest cycling community
- Increasing understanding of entry barriers and participants’ needs
- Building early relationships with the cyclists of the future
At the same time, participants in Beginner’s Ride Club gain extra support on questions that often determine whether they dare to take the next step: safety on the road with Radar and bike computers, cycling and training in different formats such as indoor e-cycling, social community, and technology’s role in making cycling safer and more enjoyable.
Time as inspiration – not pressure
An important part of the deepened collaboration is a new approach to communicating time during Cycling Week. Wahoo will have exclusive rights to sponsor the official timing, including countdowns and timing at the start and finish areas. Instead of emphasizing time pressure, Wahoo and Vätternrundan aim to highlight Vätternrundan’s philosophy: Race at your own pace.
The goal is to make time a tool for safety and motivation – not performance. Many beginners perceive the focus on time and speed as one of the biggest entry barriers. By combining Wahoo’s technology with Vätternrundan’s inclusive narrative, the partners aim to create a culture where:
- Every participant sets their own benchmark
- Technology is used to support, not stress
- More people feel welcome to participate – regardless of level
Beginner’s Ride Club serves as an important arena where participants receive support to find their own pace, rhythm, and place in cycling.
“We want to help more people discover cycling and look forward to engaging with the full range of cyclists that Vätternrundan actually has. Through the partnership with Vätternrundan, we can guide beginners to find their own pace and feel safe on the road, while continuing the dialogue with more experienced cyclists. We are excited to deepen the great collaboration we already have with the Vätternrundan organization,” says Caroline Young, Marketing Lead, Wahoo/RLVNT.
“We are very pleased with the trust to deepen the partnership with Wahoo. For us, it is important to show that cycling can take many forms – as preparation, training, or pure enjoyment of movement. Performance- and time pressure remain one of the biggest barriers for both new and returning cyclists,” says Jessica Nilsson, Sponsor Management & Communication, Vätternrundan.
