More than 4,000 participants can complete En Svensk Klassiker at TCS Lidingöloppet
This weekend, 4,152 participants are registered to complete the fourth and final event in En Svensk Klassiker. They have already completed cross-country skiing in Engelbrektsloppet or Vasaloppet, cycling in Vätternrundan and swimming in Vansbrosimningen, and will now finish the challenge by running TCS Lidingöloppet.
To complete En Svensk Klassiker, participants must complete four consecutive races organised by Engelbrektsloppet or Vasaloppet (cross-country skiing), Vätternrundan (cycling), Vansbrosimningen (swimming) and TCS Lidingöloppet (running). The four races do not, however, have to be completed within the same calendar year. In other words, it is perfectly possible to start now with TCS Lidingöloppet and complete the challenge with Vansbrosimningen next summer.
On Saturday, 26 September, 2,476 participants have the opportunity to complete the full-distance En Svensk Klassiker when they cross the finish line of the 30 km TCS Lidingöloppet. Another 258 participants can complete En Svensk Klassiker Halva by running the 15 km TCS Lidingöloppet.
On Sunday, 27 September, 713 participants can complete En Svensk Klassiker Tjej or En Svensk Klassiker Korta by taking part in the 10 km Rosa bandet-loppet.
To officially be included in the statistics and receive a medal and diploma, participants must register their Klassiker. This is not done automatically. To date, 125,628 different Klassiker have been registered since the event was established in 1971, with 2,373 registered so far this year. Of the 125,628 registered Klassiker, 85,041 have completed the full-distance En Svensk Klassiker.

Interest remains strong, as shown not least by the continued influx of participants and increased sales of new Klassiker packages and bookings for upcoming challenges. At the moment, we are seeing an increase across all distances within En Svensk Klassiker. It is fantastic to see so many people choosing to take on the challenge,” says Michael Sturehed, Chairman of En Svensk Klassiker.
The development is driven by the commitment of participants, but also by close collaboration with the partners who help make En Svensk Klassiker possible.
