Swedish road traffic laws apply to the event. Additionally Tjevättern has extra rules that all cyclists must follow to ensure their safety. * The minimum age requirement is 15. (This includes those who turn 15 during the current year) * Each participant must be registered to ride with the start number used. Giving or selling your start number to someone else is not allowed. * No private cars or private rest stops are allowed on or around the course during the event. This includes all friends, family, business colleagues, team mates etc. * Cyclists that are not registered in the event are not allowed on the course during the event * An approved cycling helmet must be used during the entire event. Recumbent bicycles are generally not allowed. However, dispensation can be applied for prior to entering the event by contacting our office * Triathlon, delta, loose bows and all other non-standard handlebars are not permitted. Note that bar-ends are permitted. * Bicycles with room for more than two people are not allowed, in the case of tandems both cyclists must be registered. * Only bicycles with two wheels are allowed. * Consideration to other road users must be shown throughout the event * Note that normal traffic rules apply * We recommend that you are properly rested before driving home after the event. To ensure that all participants obey these rules at all times, regular inspections will take place at the start and around the course. Any cyclist in breech of these rules will be disqualified from the event. Every participant agrees to follw these rules by signing their start card when collecting their ride number. No private or company cars Please show respect for all the participants - private cars or company cars are not allowed on the course. The event has several service cars that cruise the course. Please wave if you need assistance.
Cut off times The finish closes at 19:00. Safety first If you stop you must move to the side of the road immediately. If you need to leave the course please move your bicycle off the road but leave it close enough so that it is clearly visible to our service cars. Tjejvättern takes place on open public roads so you should not ride side by side as this can obstruct other vehicles. Inexperienced cyclists are advised to avoid riding in groups. It is best to keep your own pace and conserve energy during the early phases of the event. Never overtake another cyclist unless it is safe!
